New! The first new campground in the NH State Park System in over 40 years has opened at Gilson Pond Campground! This new family camping area opened July 9, 2010 at Monadnock State Park and is located just down the road from the park headquarters area at 585 Dublin Road, Jaffrey, NH 03452. The new campground has 35 campsites that can accommodate tents and pop-ups, plus 5 remote hike-to sites. A new bathhouse with showers and playground complete this facility. There are several trails leaving the area that lead to the summit of Mount Monadnock or shorter hikes around the state park. Monadnock Base Headquarters has sites open during the off season for walk-in camping from November to May.

Please note that the Gilson Pond Campsites are Loops A & B.

SITE FEE COVERS 2 ADULTS AND UP TO 4 CHILDREN. FOR ALL ADDITIONAL ADULTS A FEE OF $10 PER NIGHT AND FOR ALL ADDITIONAL CHILDREN FEES OF $5 PER NIGHT ARE TO BE PAID UPON ARRIVAL.

Youth Group sites are located at Monadnock Headquarters and with fees of $5 per child per night and for every 4 children 1 adult pays $5 per night. Each additional adults pay $10 per night.

Camping is available year round but during winter months there is no plowing so all must hike in carrying their gear.

Youth groups reservations for off-season stays are reserved through the park by calling 603-532-8862.

Pets are NOT allowed at any time.

Sites accommodate a maximum of 6 people, combination of adults and children with no more than 4 adults per site. Except Youth Group sites.

From Route 3 (Northbound): Take Route 3 north to exit 7 in New Hampshire. Follow Rte. 101A west to Rte. 101 west to Peterborough, turn left for 202 west to Jaffrey. Turn right onto 124 west and follow signs to Monadnock State Park. From I-93 (Northbound): Take 101 west to Peterborough, turn left for 202 west to Jaffrey. Turn right onto 124 west and follow signs to Monadnock State Park. From I-93 (Southbound): Take 101 west to Peterborough, turn left for 202 west to Jaffrey. Turn right onto 124 west and follow signs to Monadnock State Park. From I-95: Follow Rte. 101 west to Peterborough, turn left for 202 west to Jaffrey.
