Winslow State Park, is located on the northwest slope of Mt. Kearsarge in Wilmot, New Hampshire. The picnic area is on an 1,820-foot plateau with outstanding views of the White Mountains to the north and the taller of the southern and central Vermont peaks. Mt. Sunapee, Ragged Mountain, and Pleasant Lake dominate the closer landscape. A one-mile foot trail leads from the picnic area to the summit of Mt. Kearsarge. A 1- 3/4 mile trail offers a loop possibility.

Driving Directions

From I-89 South: Take I-89 South to Exit 11. Take NH-Rte 11 east for approximately 7 miles. Turn right onto Kearsarge Valley Road for approximately 1.5 miles. Turn left onto Kearsarge Mountain Road and follow signs to park entrance.

From I-89 North: Take I-89 North to Exit 10. Turn right onto North Road for .1 mile. Turn right onto North Road for approximately .25 miles. Turn left onto Kearsarge Valley Road for approximately 3miles. Turn right onto Kearsarge Mountain Road and follow signs to park entrance.

From I-93 South: Take I-93 South to Exit 20. Turn right onto Route 11 west for 5 miles. Turn right onto Route 11 for 1 mile. Turn left onto Webster Lake Road/Route 11 for 9 miles. Turn Right onto US Rte 4/NH Rte 11 west for 5.5 miles. Turn left onto Kearsarge Valley Road for 1.5 miles. Turn left onto Keararge Mountain Road and follow signs to park entrance.

From I-93 North: Take I-93 North to I-89 North. Take I-89 North to Exit 10. Turn right onto North Road for .1 mile. Turn right onto North Road for approximately .25 miles. Turn left onto Kearsarge Valley Road for approximately 3miles. Turn right onto Kearsarge Mountain Road and follow signs to park entrance.

From I-91 South: Take I-91 South to I-89 South. Take I-89 South to Exit 11. Take NH-Rte 11 east for approximately 7 miles. Turn right onto Kearsarge Valley Road for approximately 1.5 miles. Turn left onto Kearsarge Mountain Road and follow signs to park entrance.

From I-91 North: Take I-91 North to Exit 8. Take Vt-Rte 12 east into NH and travel for 2 miles to NH Rte 103 east. Take NH-Rte 103 east for 10 miles to NH-Rte 11 east. Take NH-Rte 11 east for 7 miles to I-89 South. Take I-89 South to Exit 11. Take NH-Rte 11 east for approximately 7 miles. Turn right onto Kearsarge Valley Road for approximately 1.5 miles. Turn left onto Kearsarge Mountain Road and follow signs to park entrance.
