Registration Description
Join Park staff and the Blue Ocean Society on an easy 1.5-mile self-guided walk along Hampton Beach State Park. An easy relaxing stroll on the beach leaving from the Seashell complex heading north or south along the beach and returning to the seashell. Warm drinks and a snack will be served inside the seashell building. Dogs are welcome, but must be leashed at all times and owners are responsible for carrying out all pet waste. Dogs will not be permitted inside the seashell complex. Horses are allowed but they must remain on the beach and parking is available at the South Beach lot.
Join Blue Ocean Society for Marine Conservation to clean Hampton Beach during the First Day Hike. Meet at the seashell at 1 pm. Supplies will be provided, just bring reusable gloves. Help us keep debris out of our seas while beautifying the Hampton coast!
Can't make it at 1 pm? At the seashell, Blue Ocean Society will have beach clean-up supplies available to borrow from 12-2 pm so you can join the fight for a clean ocean on your schedule.

New Hampshire's First Day Hikes 2022:
To ring in the New Year we welcome back our ever popular First Day Hikes. These hikes offer individuals and families an opportunity to begin the New Year rejuvenating and connecting with the outdoors by taking a free organized self-guided hike on January 1st.
Looking for an invigorating opportunity to get outside and celebrate New Year's with your family and friends? Come join New Hampshire State parks and our partners with a rejuvenating family-friendly hike on New Years Day. This year we will be exploring a few first time hosting State Park locations.
Participants of First Day Hikes can explore historic sites, state parks and even enjoy pet friendly hikes with their four footed friends either on their own or discover and experience nature with a guided hike lead by park staff and out partner volunteers.
**Registration is required, there will be no same day registration allowed.
Here are a few helpful tips to make your day enjoyable:
- Please remember to check the weather prior to the event.
- All hikes will be rain, snow, or shine.
- Dress in layers appropriate for the winter weather and wear appropriate footwear. for more information regarding recommended clothing and gear, please visit Hike Safe.
- Traction devices such as microspikes or yaktrax are highly recommended (trails may be icy).
- Be sure to pack water and a snack for during the hike. The Park will provide a warm drink and healthy snack at the completion of the hike.
